The University of Southampton has announced plans for all undergraduates to complete a course covering AI skills, ethics and creativity as part of their programme of study. It is implied that this course will be compulsory for undergraduates at Southampton making them the first UK university to introduce compulsory AI training for all undergraduates.
Here at Durham there are a wide range of AI training resources available from an online student guide to AI to in-person and online classes from our Academic Skills Centre (which can be booked via Inkpath), however currently these all voluntary activities that students can choose to undertake.
