Manchester University has announced that it will be the first university in the world to provide Microsoft 365 Copilot to all staff and students. Microsoft 365 Copilot is a complete suite of AI tools built into Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. It also includes access to agents such as the Researcher and Analyst, which can be used to conduct deep reasoning AI prompts.
This continues a recent push that Manchester has adopted over the last year on digital education, where they have created their own AI strategy unit and have announced their intention that half of all students will be studying online within ten years.
